I love how I learn and do something new every day because each day is challenging and different

Hi, I'm Gabrielle

Student at Nottingham Trent University

I knew that I wanted to work for a company that embraces creativity and innovation and just from filling out the application form; I knew that this was the placement that I wanted because I was already excited about it.

What’s involved in your role?

I help to organise training events which include in-house Lunch & Learns, Intern training and Employee Development programmes. My main responsibilities include course bookings, managing the logistics of courses, course evaluations, the research of training venues and the maintenance of the Warner Bros Learning Network site (WBLN).

I’ve learnt that strong time management and quick thinking skills are a key part of my role, as it is important to stay on top of dates to ensure everything runs smoothly. Also, due to dealing with the management of training and events the unexpected can sometimes happen, so I have found it is always good to have a backup plan just in case!

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I love that I genuinely feel like a valued member of the team and feel the work I produce is an important part of a bigger process. This isn’t your average internship where your main responsibilities include the tea run and photocopying – the work you produce makes an impact! Also, I am lucky enough to be supported by a fantastic department who are all passionate about their field, and constantly strive to develop a strong and communicative team. I never feel embarrassed to ask a question, and no matter how busy they are they will always find the time to assist you – which is brilliant!

What’s your favourite WB TV show?

What’s been a highlight for you so far?

One of my highlights so far would be having the opportunity of going to the screening of Dunkirk, it was a fantastic film and knowing that I was one of the first people to watch it was a bonus too!
