Hi, I'm Erhard

University of York

I applied for a placement year at Warner Bros. mainly because of my crazy passion for film and TV and it’s incredible industry – the thought of working for a company like Warner Bros. was just unreal! I also knew that getting the internship would open countless doors for my career, and the industry insight I would gain would be extremely helpful no matter what future path I’d decide to take.

Describe a normal day in the office…

My role involves helping to sell and market our TV shows & films to broadcasters around Europe, Africa and the Middle East. I help organise and design marketing campaigns and make sure that all our clients have the marketing assets they need at all times. From putting a Friends sofa on top of Table Mountain in Cape Town, to making promotional videos around the scariest Stephen King films, there isn’t a day where all these new challenges don’t make my job exciting and unpredictable!

What do you enjoy most about your role?

The best part is definitely the fact that I get to work with my favourite TV shows and films on a daily basis and feel like I’m part of the success of these incredible projects. Seeing many of these shows in advance and attending exclusive screenings and events is such a privilege as well. I also love getting to work with people from many different broadcasters and streaming platforms around the world, even with executives and heads of department.

What’s your favourite WB film/TV show/game?

My favourite film is ‘Interstellar’ (controversial!), and my favourite TV show is ‘The 100’.

What’s been a highlight for you so far?

Going to the European premiere of ‘It Chapter Two’ and seeing James McAvoy and Jessica Chastain standing right next to me! The VIP launch of London Friendsfest was also quite the experience!
