I already know this year will provide me with invaluable industry experience and a clear view of the direction I want my career to go in.

Hi, I'm Emma

Bournemouth University

I applied for Placement year at WB for a number of reasons. Firstly, the appeal of working for a company who are responsible for the creation of so many of my favourite films and TV shows definitely excited me. Also, Warner Bros’ international reputation means a placement role within the company will undeniably look great on my CV!

Describe a normal day in the office…

A normal day in the office is hard to describe as no two days are the same. My morning routine is to make a cup of tea and go through my emails as soon as I arrive, this will allow me to prioritise any urgent Ad-Hoc tasks. I then make my way through any daily tasks such as creating and distributing reports on Box Office figures and trailering impacts.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I enjoy the amount of responsibility I have been trusted with from the start. I like being busy and know that my work is seen not only by various teams internally, but referenced externally also. I enjoy attending meetings with different departments and learning about the inner workings of the company and the vast amount of work that goes into the cinematic release of a film.

What’s your favourite WB film/TV show/game?

Game Of Thrones

What’s been a highlight for you so far?

A (much appreciated) benefit of working for Warner Bros is being allowed to view films before they release, this is something I will always find surreal and exciting. My highlight so far is attending the premiere of A Star Is Born in London and seeing Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper on the red carpet, it is an experience I will never forget.
