Hi, I'm Annie

University of Bath

I applied for a placement at Warner Bros. because I wanted to gain experience working and learning in a large, successful company with worldwide influence. Warner Bros. also have a reputation for providing remarkable placements, and after being here for 3 months, I can see why. A placement is an excellent opportunity to help shape your career path, even if you have no idea what you want to do, and I couldn’t recommend a better company to work for.

Describe a normal day in the office…

My role is split between the HR and Talent Acquisition teams, which means my tasks change from day-to-day. In HR, I provide general office admin support, which includes answering queries via email, maintaining electronic files, administering benefits and assisting with HR events. In my Talent Acquisition role, I work with the team to organise the Intern recruitment for the placement programme, which includes meeting with line managers, running assessment days and preparing contracts.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

The best thing about my role is that I am given so much responsibility and I am constantly made to feel like a valued member of the team. I get to meet people from all over the organisation and I am constantly learning new things in my role. Being part of a large Intern and Apprentice network is also a huge benefit, it’s like one big family!

What’s your favourite WB film/ TV show/ game?

Harry Potter or Game of Thrones

What’s been a highlight for you so far?

Aside from meeting and working with an amazingly supportive team, the highlight of my time so far would have to be visiting the Harry Potter Studio Tour with the other HR Intern and the Apprentices.
