I get to work with a lot of different departments and everyone is extremely friendly. They all treat me as a fellow employee, rather than a student.

Hi, I'm Ali

Student at the University of Reading

I’ve always had a specific plan when it came to my future as a Graphic Designer. I knew that I wanted to do design work within the entertainment industry – especially working with films and games. I couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity to make this dream a reality when I saw that Warner Bros. offered a placement program. In addition to being the home of my two favourite directors of all time – Christopher Nolan and Stanley Kubrick, Warner Bros. is also responsible for my favourite franchises. Whether it is the Dark Knight Trilogy or the Classic Vacation film series.

I knew that working for Warner Bros. would give me invaluable practise working for an international organisation and present responsibilities that would prepare me for the professional world – experience I wouldn’t be able to gain at University.

What’s involved in your role?

I am the International games marketing intern. I am responsible for supporting both the Digital and Marketing teams. My responsibilities include managing and localising assets to be distributed across EMEA and managing the trackers for props and equipment to be used in events worldwide.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

Warner Bros. give their interns a lot of work and a lot of responsibility and you will never feel like you have wasted a day here. As London is the European Head office, being part of the central hub means my role keeps me in constant contact with people across Europe, assisting them with their trailers and assets.

What’s your favourite WB film/TV show/game?

It was Shadow of Mordor, but after working on Shadow of War so closely – it looks like it’s going to be replaced.

What’s been a highlight for you so far?

Being able to travel to Gamescom was an unexpected surprise, and it will definitely be a highlight of my year.
